چکیده
Research shows that scientists tend to be less religious than the general population, and scientists’ affiliation participation have declined over time (Ecklund & Park, 2009; Ecklund et al., 2008). Given demographic differences between it was predicted who are would regarded as having a counter-stereotypical combination of social identities. However, across five studies, we found people’s own identities played moderating role in perception scientist. Although atheist participants perceived being more scientists, same not consistently for nonreligious (but atheist) or participants. These findings important implications debates around underrepresentation individuals science. As do perceive these two incompatible, may stereotypes others about culture science generally, rather self-stereotypes, hurdles choosing scientific career. Future research should take into account explore other potential barriers lead within STEM fields.

In this paper, I show that not yet, by default, uses the stereotypical intervals connected with certain events to determine the time span of its negation, while never systematically ignores these stereotypical intervals. I show that in order to correctly distinguish between these two lexical it...
متن کاملStereotypical Reasoning: Logical Properties
Stereotypical reasoning assumes that the situation at hand is one of a kind and that it enjoys the properties generally associated with that kind of situation. It is one of the most basic forms of nonmonotonic reasoning. A formal model for stereotypical reasoning is proposed and the logical properties of this form of reasoning are studied. Stereotypical reasoning is shown to be cumulative under...
متن کاملStereotypical fingertip trajectories during grasp.
The kinematics of movement of all five digits was analyzed during reach-and-grasp tasks for a variety of objects. Ten healthy subjects performed 20 trials involving the grasp of five objects of distinct size and shape. Joint angles were recorded, and digit trajectories were computed using forward kinematics. For a given subject, fingertip trajectories were consistent across trials. The differen...
